Seine River Cruise
The River Seine is synonymous with France's magnificent capital, Paris, through which it flows on its way north from its origins in Dijon. Within Paris, it's serpentine form means that one is never very far from its banks, and it plays a very important role for both locals and visitors alike. In effect, it cuts the city in half, and monuments and museums can be found to its north, on the Right Bank, or to the south, on its Left Bank. Furthermore, the impressive and famous Notre Dame Cathedral is found on an island in the middle of the Seine, named the Ile de la Cité. From Paris, the Seine continues flowing northwards, until it spills out into the English Channel, 776 kilometres from its source. As well as important trading links, this river has a special association with many artists, particularly in the 19th century, when many Impressionists converged on its banks, notably at Argenteuil, to paint everyday scenes.

VFB's
5-day Seine cruise begins in the heart of Paris, and takes us through Normandy up to Honfleur, passing through Les Andelys and Rouen along the way. We also have the opportunity to visit the Château de Vascoeuil and enjoy a tasting in a distillery where the famous Calvados is made.
Our
Impressionist Cruise also begins and ends in Paris, focusing understandably on those whose many masterpieces can be found in the two most famous art museums in Paris, the Musée d'Orsay and the Musée de l'Orangerie. We have the opportunity of viewing these at first hand, and then relaxing on board as our vessel takes us north towards Conflans-Ste-Honorine, from where we visit Auvers-sur-Oise, home to several of these artists, notably Van Gogh.
VFB's exclusive river cruises on the Seine are detailed below. Alternatively, why not
