Description: Lovingly built by the friendly owner, this charming, air-conditioned cottage is generously equipped and provides great comfort and all modern amenities. The tasteful décor of whitewashed walls and tiled floors gives a cool Mediterranean feel while the fireplace and contemporary fittings and furniture make it very welcoming. A Tighiaccia's trump card has to be the exceptionally idyllic location and its total privacy, situated as it is at the end of a rough 800m track.

With A Tighiaccia’s privileged position on the tapering southern tip of the island comes the opportunity to explore both east and west coast beaches and to visit stunning cliff-top Bonifacio as well as Porto-Vecchio with its lively quayside and attractive old town. Only a little further afield is Sartène, known as the ‘most Corsican of Corsican towns’. Fortunately Sartène’s notoriety for its devotion to the concept of the vendetta is a thing of the past! Forest walks among the ancient fir trees of the Forêt de Cagna are on your doorstep and keen walkers can attempt the ascent to the Uomu di Cagna, the ‘man of Cagna’, a fascinating rock which balances on the Punta d’Ovace mountain peak and surveys A Tighiaccia from a lofty 1340m. |

The interior is entirely on one level and consists of:
♦ a lounge/dining room with a sofa, chairs, coffee table, dining table and chairs
♦ a kitchen area with gas hob, electric oven, dishwasher and fridge-freezer
♦ two bedrooms (one twin-bedded room, one double-bedded room),
♦ a bathroom with bath, separate shower cubicle and washing machine, plus a separate wc
Outside, there is a built-in barbecue and covered, furnished terrace where guests can enjoy long lunches and alfresco dinners. The superb swimming pool and pool bar, complete with wooden decking, enjoys 180 degrees of the most commanding views over the valley and as far as the Golfe de Figari.
