Casa Fautéa is a 3-bedroomed villa, sleeping 6 (+ baby), located 6km N of Ste Lucie de Porto-Vecchio and 20km N of Porto-Vecchio (Corse-du-Sud), with 10,500 inhabitants. Michelin map 345. VFB is delighted to have featured this property since 2009. Sunday arrival.
Occupying an enviable hilltop position, yet only 800m from a sandy beach a steep , Casa Fautéa is a beautiful property boasting sublime views over an ancient Genoese watch tower and the stunning south-eastern Corsican coastline below. The extraordinary panorama as well as the wonderful facilities available should provide all the elements required for an unforgettable holiday.
The villa is located above a minor development of smaller properties, thus ensuring maximum privacy due to its elevated position. The interior is very appealing, boasting a contemporary design and attractive, air-conditioned, open-plan living areas, with plenty of space for dining or and relaxation. Décor throughout is largely Mediterranean with bright, warm colour schemes combining with cool tiled floors to create a very pleasant ambience (the bedrooms are not air-conditioned).
Sweeping the length of the villa is a spacious, partly-shaded balcony (fully enclosed), from where exquisite views can be enjoyed whilst dining alfresco. Set to the side of the property, amidst ancient olive trees and other tropical plants, is the delightful swimming pool from where views extend not only to the sea but to wooded valleys and mountains to the rear. Please note that one side of the pool is unfenced with a steep drop below. Children should be supervised at all times.
Due to the setting of the property, high above the coast road, some traffic noise may be audible at times, however we feel that this is strongly outweighed by the attributes of this impressive villa.
