Standing in 500 hectares of tranquil parkland and originally owned by an 18thcentury Légionnaire d’Honneur, the Barive was bought by the Veuve Cliquot champagne house in 1928 and served as a stud farm for some 60 years before becoming a hotel in the early 1990s.
ROOMS
The 22 rooms and suites are situated over two floors (no lift) in the main château and in the former stable block. Each is unique in terms of size, style and décor, with exposed beams and sloping ceilings adding character.
RESTAURANT
Recently renovated to a high standard in contemporary style, the restaurant, Les Epicuriens, looks out over the parkland at the rear and offers a set menu with choice.
