Fattoria Casabianca (1 bedroom: sleeps 2 + baby) is in a rural location, 10km from the town of Casciano di Murlo – with 1,932 inhabitants – 34km S of Siena, 60km S of Florence, 112km S of Pisa (airport), 50 km NE of Grosseto (for the sea). The Fattoria Casabianca is a large wine-producing estate situated in a fascinating and unspoiled area of Tuscany. The estate extends over ten square kilometres of rolling hills covered in vineyards and farmland, where pheasant, partridge and roe deer roam free. Apartments in the 16th-century farmhouses have been carefully restored to preserve their original rustic character. The interiors are tiled throughout and are furnished to a good standard in a typical Tuscan country style. The shared pool at the centre of the estate is surrounded by fabulous views and guests have an individual cabin with shower here, enabling them to stay by the pool until late before going straight to dinner at the restaurant. The truly idyllic location and activities on offer make the Fattoria Casa Bianca an ideal choice for a holiday. Clients can relax around the pool, visit Siena, one of Italy's Renaissance jewels, spend a day by the sea (the coast at Grosseto is within driving distance), or simply spend time around the farm, exploring the countryside on mountain bikes or horseback, visiting the winery, or going for a trek along the hiking paths.
Activities: Swimming pool (25m x 10m) shared by all guests of the estate available 16 April to 30 October. Please note the pool depth 0m50 > 2m50. Guests at the estate have a changing cabin with shower by the main pool. Tennis, table tennis, boules pitch, football nets, children's play area with see-saw and swings, mountain bikes, fishing lake and horse riding at the farm centre (2.5km). The stables have a good reputation locally, with horses suitable for both beginners and expert riders.
Services: On site there is a farm restaurant offering local dishes and a daily-changing menu (open 1st June to 30th September) and poolside bar serving light lunches, drinks, ice creams and evening aperitifs. Local produce including vegetables, honey, wine, grappa and olive oil are available to buy at the farm reception. Daily bread delivery service to the estate. Restaurants, shops and supermarket in Murlo. Market in Casciano di Murlo on first and third Thursday of the month and on Wednesdays in Siena (markets close at 1300).
In the area: Siena, one of Italy's Renaissance jewels, is ideal for a day's sightseeing; the coast is only a short drive away in Grosseto; horse riding, tennis, hiking paths and mountain biking all available on the estate.
