Price includes: your chosen property on a rental-only basis from 1700 hours on the Saturday of arrival to 1000 hours on the Saturday of departure.
Arrival must be by 2000 hours.
Also included: bedlinen (sheets changed weekly); household linen (towels and tea towels); gas; electricity (except first fortnight in April)
Pets not accepted.
Non-smoking property.
Young children will require supervision as stairs to the first floor are partially open on one side.
Any other price related conditions
A breakage deposit of 125€ is payable upon arrival. This will be returned in full if there have been no breakages and the property is left in good order. The owners may, at their discretion, deduct 50€ from the deposit if the property is not left in good order.
Electricity (radiator in each room) is not included during low season (31 Mar - 13 Apr) and is charged at the rate of 30€ per week.
La Basse Martinière is a 2-bedroomed cottage, sleeping 4 (+ baby), in a rural location, 1.5km from the village of Parcé (Ile-et-Vilaine), 10km S of Fougères, 65km S of the sea and Le Mont-St-Michel, 58km NE of Rennes (Michelin map: 512). Superior conversion of an 18th-century former shoemaker's cottage, set in gently rolling countryside on the edge of a sleepy village in the heart of rural Brittany. Built in traditional Breton stone and renovated to an excellent standard in recent years, this light and airy holiday home lies on a quiet access road in a peaceful location amid open fields. Original features such as exposed beams have been preserved throughout the house, lending character to the modern and well-equipped interior. The split-level, open-plan ground floor is bright and spacious, whilst first-floor bedrooms are cosy and comfortably furnished, both having the added luxury of en-suite facilities. French windows lead from the living room and kitchen down to the south-facing paved terrace, a real suntrap, and brand new heated swimming pool (9m50 x 5m, depth 1.2m) set in the garden, which extends into 3 acres of open woodland in which guests are free to wander. In the area there is plenty to see: the impressive château de Fougères, dating back to the tenth century, is almost on the doorstep, the legendary Mont-St-Michel and several beaches are within easy driving distance to the north, and a little further afield, Rennes, the capital of Brittany, is less than an hours' drive away. A delightful property with charm and comfort in a peaceful location with shops and services within easy reach.

Accommodation:  Ground floor: split-level kitchen/dining/living room. First floor: 1 twin and 1 double-bedded room, each with en suite shower room and wc. This property offers a higher than average level of comfort.

Activities:  Private swimming pool on the spot (available 25 April to September), tennis, horseriding and bicycle hire in Fougères. Beach at Le Vivier-sur-Mer (60km). Golf (18 holes) at Freslonnière (near Rennes).
