Description
Occupying an independent part of the ground floor of the owners’ farmhouse, this charming property stands among the owners’ extensive grounds of vineyards and woods at the very heart of the Vaucluse countryside. With independent access and small open area of grass, it adjoins the owners’ family home and working farm. The owners let a second holiday property (not through VFB) which faces the opposite direction. Recently converted, the cottage is essentially modern in all respects; the modest façade belies the beautifully appointed interior, tastefully arranged with quality traditional and modern items, pretty fabrics – and much loving care. Guests here also have use of a small pool fed by spring water (6m x 6m, depth: 1m20). Ideal for a family, this cottage is recommended for its comfort and high standards and the views over the delightful peaceful, rural surroundings (there will be some farm activity particularly at grape harvest time). It is well-located for visits to the nearby Roman towns of Vaison, Orange and Avignon, and for scenic drives through famous wine-producing areas around the imposing Mont Ventoux, and the unspoiled Drôme to the north. The exceptionally hospitable owners will be responsible for welcoming their visitors. Featured by VFB for the first time in 2011 although the owners have been welcoming VFB visitors to this area since 1993.
