Any other price related conditions
A cleaning and breakage deposit of 250€, payable in cash, will be requested on arrival at the property in exchange for a receipt.  This will be returned in full if there have been no breakages and the property is left in good order. The owners may, at their discretion, deduct additional cleaning charges (typically 30€) from the deposit if the property is not left in good order.
Le Poggio is a 2-bedroomed apartment, sleeping 4 (+ baby), located in the Sisco valley (Haute-Corse), with 950 inhabitants, 7km W from the village of Marine de Sisco and 23km N of Bastia. Altitude: 300m (Michelin map 345). VFB is delighted to have featured this property since 2006. Sunday arrival.

The discreet, friendly owners have lovingly converted this apartment to provide an excellent standard of accommodation in a truly beautiful location. The first thing that strikes you is the outstanding beauty of the surrounding countryside and the glorious sea views. Without doubt, many hours will be spent in this privileged spot, relaxing around the spacious private swimming pool while drinking in those very special views.

Entrance to the apartment is via sliding french doors into an open-plan living/dining room with a portable air-conditioning unit, with wooden table and chairs, sideboard, small sofa and television, and a smart kitchen area at the far end. There is a blend of modern décor, with whitewashed walls and attractive tiling, as well as pieces of more traditional French furniture. The kitchen area is well equipped, and includes a fridge-freezer, 4 ring electric plate, electric oven, dishwasher and microwave oven.

There are two bedrooms (one twin, one double), both offering views towards the countryside and sea, as well as a shower room which houses the washing machine. Completing the facilities is a separate wc.

Outdoor living is sure to be high on the agenda, and a sheltered summer kitchen next to the pool provides a built-in barbecue, gas cooker as well as a garden table and chairs. The pool is secured by an alarm system. The owners also have a donkey, a sheep and a goat!

Activities: Private swimming pool (9m x 7m), available 2nd May – 3rd October. Please note the pool depth of 1m10 – 2m00. At Marine de Sisco there is a beach, water sports centre, boat hire and diving club. Horse riding is available in the village. Many walks locally.

Services: In Marine de Sisco (7km), there is a small supermarket, three restaurants, a snack bar, a butcher, a post office and a newsagents. Larger supermarkets can be found in Bastia. Market in Bastia every Sunday morning. Parking available at the property.

In the area: The nearby village of Marine de Sisco (7km away) has three restaurants, a bakery, bars and a post office, while the charming coastal fishing villages of Erbalunga and Centuri have popular seafood restaurants. This wonderfully scenic region remains relatively undiscovered and the sleepy villages scattered across the landscape provide a fascinating insight into authentic Corsican living.
