Paris
There are so many reasons not to put off a trip to Paris until the spring. For a start, the shorter days are a perfect excuse to explore some of the fabulous museums. Museums such as the Louvre, with the Mona Lisa, or the Orsay, with its stunning Impressionist collection (ask us about a two-day museum pass). Or wrap up warm and enjoy long, romantic walks in one of the many parks and elegant boulevards where Parisians love to promenade (the Parc André Citroën or the Jardin du Luxembourg are firm favourites). No doubt you’ll also want to visit the large department stores near the Opéra to stock up on unusual Christmas presents or to enjoy the New Year sales.
At night, Paris really comes to life and is transformed by the illumination of over 150 monuments and bridges – we particularly recommend a river trip on the famous Bateaux Parisiens to make the most of your evening. Naturally, you’ll find plenty of restaurants and pavement cafés offering an endless variety of food and drink to suit every taste and pocket. The more energetic may well wish to finish off the evening by taking in a show at the Lido or Moulin Rouge, or by dancing the night away in one of the trendy clubs on the Champs Elysées.

Our hotels:
Paris Hotels
Hand-picked for their standard, location and value for money, you can be assured that, whichever hotel you choose, you will never find yourself on the outskirts of the city, nor will you end up in one of the less fashionable areas of Paris. Instead, we offer the more attractive and romantic quarters such as the well-known Quartier Latin or La Madeleine, areas where you will always find a good choice of bars, bistros and brasseries, Métro stations and attractions close by. The vast majority are also owner-run and the few chain hotels we do feature offer that same character. Due to the age and architectural design of city-centre buildings, most Parisian hotels tend to be smaller than their UK counterparts (with correspondingly limited wardrobe and drawer space). However, you will always find comfortable rooms, equipped with bath/wc or shower/wc (specified when you book), telephone and TV. Other features such as air-conditioning or non-smoking rooms are only available where specifically mentioned. Breakfast is continental unless otherwise specified. All hotels have a lift but please check with us if this is important to you, as some floors may not be served.
Our short break includes:
• return standard-class travel from St Pancras, Ebbsfleet or Ashford International by Eurostar™ direct to Paris
• three nights’ bed and breakfast accommodation in a centrally-located hotel
